Welcome to the POMS Working Paper Database!
Paper submissions for the 2006 POMS CSO conference in Monterey, CA
This is the official website for submitting abstracts for the June 2006 College of Service Operations conference in Monterey, CA. Please see the official Call for Papers for more information.NEWS: The conference hotel has been changed -- see the Call for Papers for more information.
NEWS: The abstract submission deadline has been extended until March 17, 2006.
In order to submit an abstract (or completed paper), please follow these steps:
1. log in (if needed, create an account by clicking "become a registered user!" and completing the account registration page).
2. Once logged in, to submit a new abstract or working paper to the database for consideration for the 2006 POMS CSO conference, click the "Paper Management" button. Then click the "add" button on the resulting page.
3. Fill in the paper's title and abstract (150 words maximum for the CSO meeting).
4. List the paper's authors. If adding a new author not already listed in the WPD system, please complete all fields marked in red in the "Add Author" pop-up window. NOTE: Norton Internet Security and other pop-up blockers may break the "Add Author" pop-up functionality, so please disable your software's pop-up blocking functionality during your paper submission and editing session.
5. Select or provide up to five descriptive keywords for your paper.
6. Submitters may optionally provide a longer document, such as an extended abstract or complete working paper, by completing the "Add a Downloadable Document" section. This is encouraged, but not required.
7. IMPORTANT! Make sure you select "POMS CSO 2006 Monterey" in the list of Special Submission events (bottom left). If this is not selected, the program committee will not know to consider your abstract for the event.
8. If all the details look correct, click "add paper" at the bottom of the page to submit your abstract.
Please note that the individual who is logged in to submit a paper will be listed as the corresponding author on that paper, so please make sure you are included in the list of authors.
At least one of the authors on each paper submitted for the 2006 POMS CSO conference must be registered, or plan to register, to attend the conference. More information on the conference can be found in the official call for papers (PDF).
If you have problems operating the submission system, please send an email to craig.froehle@uc.edu explaining your situation.
WPD Release Notes: The POMS College of Service Operations is happy to announce v0.9b of its Working Paper Database (WPD). The WPD is a repository of working papers and research abstracts related to service operations management.
A user guide for this working paper database is currently being developed.
Because the WPD is currently in public beta, there is a small chance you may experience a problem. Also, we are evaluating possible improvements for the future 1.0 release. If you find a bug or have a question or suggestion, please email Craig Froehle at craig.froehle@uc.edu.
